about

King Arthur Walks in Rottingdean depicts the beauty of the historic village of the same name. Walking in the woods nearby, I imagined an important ancient figure such as King Arthur walking there where I stood. I took hints from English folk music and from the way saxophonist John Surman uses traditional English music in Jazz.
